CLA Releases Annual Industry Trends Report

LeadingAge Wisconsin Silver Sponsor CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) recently released their 40th Annual SNF Cost Comparison and Industry Trends Report. This year's report is centered on the importance of understanding the reimbursement landscape, how quality drives performance, and enhancing business operations and acumen.

The report provides perspective on where the industry is heading, while also covering the operational and financial trends impacting providers.

The report is based on the annual Medicare cost report filed by all SNFs nationwide, and this newly released report includes data for 2024. Key findings for 2024 include the highest SNF occupancy since before the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the first positive average operating margin, not counting federal pandemic assistance, since before the start of the pandemic.
